Application Deadline – Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, and the closure and delay of many of our programs, the application deadline for the Practical Nursing Program at Great Plains Technology Center has been rescheduled for July 6, 2020 for the Traditional PN program, and July 7, 2020 for the Flex PN Program.

While we are hoping that things are back to normal by this summer, any further closures could force additional delays on these dates.

Certified Nurse Aide – Due to the interruption of testing and the interruption of CNA-LTNA classes, we have lifted the CNA pre-requisite for the Fall Practical Nursing applicants. Those who have completed the CNA class and received their certification will receive additional preference points on this application.

Accuplacer – Applicants will still be required to submit current Accuplacer scores or ACT scores. The GPTC testing center is able to administer the Accuplacer test remotely to applicants while the school and test center is closed. Please contact the Student Support Secretary, Tamera Bell, at (580) 250-5535 or for more information or to schedule an appointment with a career counselor today!

Additional Requirements/preference points – Applicants must complete the required courses and submit required documents to GPTC Student Services with completed application. All courses must be completed to receive preference points for the Fall 2020 application.

Required documents include:

  • Official High School Transcript or High School Equivalency diploma (HiSET or GED)
  • Official College Transcript
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support or Healthcare Provider CPR certification
  • Next-Generation Accuplacer test scores less than 3 years from application or ACT Test scores less than 5 years from application deadline.
