In addition to our Lawton and Frederick campuses, Great Plains also offers pre-engineering classes to freshmen and sophomores on the campuses of all three Lawton high schools.
Some Great Plains credits count as academic credits, some count as electives. Talk with your high school counselor to learn more about your particular situation.
Here’s how you apply for admission to Great Plains. Complete an application form and give it to your high school counselor. Your counselor will provide us your enrollment form along with relevant transcript, attendance and assessment results. We will arrange an in-person interview with each student at their high school
Traditionally Great Plains arranges “Tech Tours” of our Lawton campus in November. “Tech Tours” allow each high school sophomore and junior to get a “taste” of two career programs that may most peak their interest. After their two hour tour, interested students fill out an application for admission, and career interest survey. Students will turn in their completed applications to their high school counselor. Great Plains will schedule a personal interview with each applicant in January and February to determine career interests and the Great Plains program that “best fits” the individual student.
Great Plains also welcomes Home School Students to apply for admission. Please visit with our Student Services Office for enrollment procedures for Home School students.
