Great Plains provides four career majors in a state-of-the-art educational complex on its campus: Radiologic Technology, Advanced Respiratory Care, Surgical Technology and Practical Nursing.
Students in the Surgical Technology program will spend nine and one-half months working in a self-contained program that will teach them to assist surgeons in the operating room, said Ann Tahah, program director. Sixteen students are selected for the program each year, via a highly competitive placement process that offers excellent job potential upon graduation, Tahah said.
