Great Plains Technology Center’s “Frigates” team had the fastest plane at the 2016 Oklahoma State University Speed Fest Championship at Stillwater.  The Frigates’ plane named “The Thrill” hit 60 mph shattering the previous record of 51mph.  The Great Plains team also won the competition’s “Best Airplane Build” based on its construction quality and innovation.   The […]

Twenty Great Plains students compete at national skills and leadership competitions.

Three Great Plains students competed at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) championships in Anaheim, CA, and all three won top honors.  Brothers Kevin and Stephen Alexander won 1st place in the Computer Animation Team competition while Xavier Velazquez won 1st Runner-up in the Computer Network Technology Security Fundamentals competition.
